ABOUT US
My name is Braxton Pittman. My wife, Destiny Pittman and I started Horseman’s Paradise Ranch, LLC June 30th, 2019. It all began with a love for horses and a love for business. I have always had a passion for taking care of horses. As a child, I didn’t grow up with an opportunity to have horses or to make a life of it. My father owned a barber shop, working full-time, 6 days per week and our family attended church every Wednesday and Sunday. When I was 12 years old, I started working hard labor with a roofing company and continued that until graduation of high school. In 2013, at the age of 20, I opened my own company, America’s Choice Steak Company, LLC. After much hard work and dedication, my wife and I are still running that company successfully. I am proud of the business that I built, but I never lost my desire and passion for horses. Now that I have 9 years of business building and decision making under my belt, a supportive wife and 6-year-old daughter, Gracelynn, I finally get the chance to start my dream. My love for horses has merged together with my love for business. I hosted my 1st Annual Thanksgiving Bounty at the Kirk Fordice Equine Center in Jackson, MS, November 29, 2019-December 1st, 2019. The show was a success with only a month and a half of planning. There was a total of 217 entries for the very first show! Everyone went on and on about how much fun they had, and they would be back! Unfortunately, 2020 was a rough year for everyone. April 24th, 2020, my mother passed away unexpectedly from COVID-19. Elsie Pittman was only 61 years old. Her birthday was November 26th. After much heartache, we decided to cancel the show that year, knowing that it would be an emotional weekend. However, after an even more successful turn out in 2021 we are excited to continue producing our annual Thanksgiving Bounty barrel races in Jackson, MS.
With all of our Best,
Braxton & Destiny Pittman
